Aavas Financiers appoints interim CFO and CRO, accepts resignations of President-level executives

Aavas Financiers Limited has appointed Mr. Ghanshyam Gupta as Interim Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective June 22, 2026. The board approved the appointment based on a recommendation from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee during its meeting held on June 21, 2026.

Aavas also appointed Mr. Punit Purushottam Agarwal as Interim Chief Risk Officer and Senior Management Personnel for a one-year term, effective June 22, 2026. Mr. Agarwal is a qualified chartered accountant with 13 years of experience, including nine years at Aavas.

The board accepted the resignations of Mr. Ghanshyam Rawat, President and Chief Financial Officer, and Mr. Ashutosh Atre, President and Chief Risk Officer, with effect from the close of business on September 21, 2026. Both executives will be on garden leave from June 21, 2026, until their resignation date.

Mr. Ghanshyam Gupta is a qualified chartered accountant with over 18 years of experience, including more than nine years at Aavas. His expertise covers financial planning and strategy, budgeting, MIS, investor relations, and business growth initiatives. Prior to Aavas, he was associated with Vaibhav Global, Tata Technologies and Capgemini India.

Mr. Punit Purushottam Agarwal brings experience across credit risk, market risk, sales and risk management in retail lending, covering home loans, construction loans and loan against property. Prior to joining Aavas, he was associated with Aditya Birla Capital, HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank.

The board meeting commenced at 2:15 PM and concluded at 2:32 PM on June 21, 2026.
