Aster DM Healthcare Limited has completed its merger with Quality Care India Limited (QCIL), bringing together four healthcare brands — Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare and KIMSHEALTH — to form Aster DM Quality Care Limited.
The combined entity commenced operations on July 1, 2026, with 39 hospitals across 28 cities and over 10,600 beds. Dr. Azad Moopen will continue as Executive Chairman, and Mr. Varun Khanna will lead as Managing Director and Group CEO.
Aster Quality Care will have a significant presence across South and Central India, with a focus on expanding specialist services, advanced treatment, and medical technology beyond metropolitan centres. The group's combined bed strength is projected to grow to over 15,000 beds in the coming years. The platform is expected to unlock synergies across clinical collaboration, technology adoption, procurement, and digital health.
Doctors across the network will collaborate through shared protocols, multidisciplinary case discussions, and centres of excellence. The combined entity is accelerating investments in advanced technologies including Gamma Knife, stereotactic radiosurgery systems, 10 robotic surgical platforms, and 12 LINAC-based radiation therapy systems across tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
The network spans cities such as Nagpur, Aurangabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Nagercoil, Kolhapur, Kannur, Kasaragod, and Kottakkal. The group has previously introduced the first LINAC-based radiation therapy system in Nagercoil and expanded robotic surgery programmes across Raipur, Trivandrum, Kolhapur, and soon Guntur and Vijayawada.
With more than 45,000 healthcare professionals, the combined entity brings together one of India's largest clinical ecosystems. The expansion is expected to create thousands of additional employment opportunities for doctors, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and support staff.
