BSE Limited has appointed Saurabh Shukla as Executive Director for Vertical 1 (Critical Operations) for a five-year term effective September 4, 2026. The appointment, which is subject to ratification by shareholders, was approved by the board at its meeting held on June 16, 2026.
Shukla will serve as Executive Director from September 4, 2026, to September 3, 2031. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Bank of Baroda, where he leads enterprise technology, innovation, and operations across domestic and international markets. His responsibilities include end-to-end technology strategy, delivery, resilience, and governance of mission-critical platforms supporting retail and corporate banking.
Shukla brings over 25 years of experience in information technology, with expertise spanning digital strategy and transformation, data analytics, cloud technologies, platform engineering, solution architecture, technology risk management, and cyber security. He has led complex transformation programmes in core banking and payments modernisation, digital channels, enterprise data and AI, cloud adoption, and cyber security while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational stability.
Shukla holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, a Master of Science, and an Executive MBA. He has previously served on the boards of SWIFT India Domestic Services Private Limited, Baroda Sun Technology Limited, and BOB Securities and Giltedge Limited.
The board meeting on June 16 commenced at 17:18 hours and concluded at 18:00 hours. Shukla is not related to any director of BSE and has not been debarred from holding a director position by SEBI or any other authority.
