Cipla Limited has informed the stock exchanges that the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) classified the inspection at its manufacturing facility in Verna, Goa as Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI). The USFDA communicated this classification on June 10, 2026 through an establishment inspection report.

The inspection was conducted over 12 days from April 6 to April 17, 2026, and included a routine current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) inspection alongside a Pre-Approval Inspection (PAI). Cipla had earlier informed the exchanges on April 17, 2026 about the conclusion of this inspection and the receipt of two observations in Form 483.

A VAI classification indicates that the regulator identified objectionable conditions during the inspection but determined that formal regulatory enforcement action is not warranted. Cipla is expected to voluntarily address the observations raised by the USFDA within the stipulated timeline.

The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements, 2015. The Verna, Goa facility is one of Cipla's critical manufacturing sites supplying pharmaceutical products to the US market.

The VAI classification is less severe than Official Action Indicated (OAI), which would require mandatory regulatory action, and represents a resolution to the inspection process that began in April 2026. Cipla received the USFDA communication as part of the standard establishment inspection report framework.
