Coromandel International Limited clarified to stock exchanges on June 9, 2026, that its Memorandum of Understanding with Samunnati Agri Value Chain does not warrant disclosure under securities regulations. The clarification was issued in response to an exchange query from BSE Limited about a media report titled 'Coromandel International, Samunnati Agri Value Chain ink MoU to aid FPOs' published on June 8, 2026 on The Hindu website.
Coromandel International stated the MoU was entered into in the ordinary course of business and does not meet the materiality thresholds prescribed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations. The media report was based on a general press release and does not constitute a market rumour, Coromandel International said.
Coromandel International noted it regularly engages with new customers and enters into agreements as part of ongoing business activities. The MoU with Samunnati Agri Value Chain to aid Farmer Producer Organizations does not require separate exchange disclosure based on the Policy on Materiality of Events.
Coromandel International stated it has consistently complied with its disclosure obligations and has made all material disclosures in a timely manner under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. The Industry Standards Note on material events was considered in concluding that the MoU does not warrant disclosure.
Coromandel International confirmed the media report does not have any immediate material impact on its business, operations, financial position, or overall performance. Coromandel International stated that no material information has been withheld.
Coromandel International stated that requisite disclosures will be made as and when required under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. The clarification was signed by B. Shanmugasundaram, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Coromandel International Limited.
