Elecon Engineering Company Limited reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 398.24 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, a decline of 2.9% from Rs 410.08 crore in the same quarter last year and lower than Rs 655.62 crore in the preceding March 2026 quarter.
Standalone total income, including other income of Rs 19.60 crore, was Rs 417.84 crore against Rs 434.96 crore. Total expenses stood at Rs 339.15 crore, with cost of materials consumed at Rs 217.15 crore and employee benefit expenses at Rs 34.24 crore. Finance costs rose to Rs 7.80 crore from Rs 5.62 crore.
Profit before exceptional items and tax on a standalone basis was Rs 78.69 crore, compared with Rs 119.90 crore in the year-ago period. Net profit stood at Rs 58.57 crore, against Rs 238.92 crore in the year-ago quarter that included an exceptional gain of Rs 149.42 crore from the reclassification of Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd. Net profit in the March 2026 quarter was Rs 97.01 crore.
On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations rose 6.1% to Rs 520.56 crore from Rs 490.57 crore in the year-ago period. Consolidated total income was Rs 542.47 crore. Net profit stood at Rs 70.35 crore, compared with Rs 175.44 crore in the year-ago quarter and Rs 6.00 crore in the March 2026 quarter.
Standalone earnings per share stood at Rs 2.61 for the quarter, against Rs 10.65 a year ago. Consolidated EPS was Rs 3.14 against Rs 7.82. The Transmission Equipment segment reported revenue of Rs 293.30 crore and profit of Rs 56.35 crore, while the Material Handling Equipment segment posted revenue of Rs 111.64 crore and profit of Rs 30.70 crore.
The board had recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.50 per share for the financial year ended March 2026. The dividend was approved by shareholders at the annual general meeting on June 25, 2026, and paid on June 30, 2026.
