Endurance Technologies Limited has announced a capacity addition for manufacturing Lithium-Ion battery packs at its existing facility at Mindewadi in Pune, Maharashtra. The board decided to expand manufacturing capacity at this facility to produce battery packs for the four-wheeler segment. The facility is located at Taluka Maval in Pune district.
Endurance Technologies' existing capacity stands at approximately 26,000 battery packs per month for two-wheelers. Commercial production of battery packs for two-wheelers commenced on June 17, 2026. Endurance Technologies expects to achieve 70 per cent capacity utilisation for the two-wheeler battery pack line by October 2026. The proposed capacity addition is 3,640 battery packs per month for four-wheelers.
The capacity addition is expected to be completed in the third quarter of the current financial year ending March 2027. The investment required for the expansion is approximately Rs 62 crore, net of GST tax credit. Endurance Technologies will finance the expansion entirely through internal accruals.
Endurance Technologies has launched battery packs as a new product line for mobility, energy storage and other high potential applications. Endurance Technologies is in advanced stage of discussion with a four-wheeler electric vehicle original equipment manufacturer for the supply of these battery packs.
This capacity addition will enable Endurance Technologies to expand into manufacturing of battery packs for four-wheelers and strengthen its position in the electric mobility market. The new product line targets anticipated growth across mobility and energy storage sectors. Endurance Technologies had previously informed stock exchanges about commencement of commercial production of battery packs for two-wheelers on June 17, 2026.
