Endurance Technologies Limited has commenced commercial production of Lithium Ion Battery packs at its greenfield manufacturing plant in Mindewadi, District Pune, effective 17 June 2026. The facility will manufacture battery packs of various configurations suitable for mobility applications and battery energy storage systems for other applications. The products cater to the domestic market.
The plant has an initial installed capacity to manufacture approximately 26,000 Lithium Ion Battery packs per month, with expandable capacity of up to 35,000 packs per month. The facility has been designed to support future capacity expansion through installation of balance equipment once Endurance Technologies secures additional orders from its OEM customers.
The battery packs were initially launched in January 2026. The planned capacity addition of up to 35,000 packs per month is being phased in beginning from the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26.
Endurance Technologies had announced a capital expenditure of approximately Rs 47.30 crore for setting up this plant on 29 April 2025. The investment is being financed through internal accruals.
The battery packs are a new product line for Endurance Technologies and extend its existing offerings. Maxwell Energy Systems Private Limited, a subsidiary, currently designs and supplies battery management systems for various applications. The manufacturing facility is located at Mindewadi, Taluka Maval, District Pune, Maharashtra.
