Fortis Healthcare Limited has entered Odisha by signing an Operations and Management (O&M) agreement with Dion Group for a 300-bed greenfield multi-specialty hospital. The facility will be developed at Dion Riverside Township in Trishulia, Cuttack, Odisha. Headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Dion Group has established a presence in the state through residential, commercial, and integrated township developments.
The hospital is located within the Cuttack-Bhubaneswar corridor and is envisioned as a centre of excellence for multiple specialties. It will offer tertiary and quaternary care services supported by advanced diagnostics, critical care infrastructure, and specialised clinical programmes. Once operational, the facility will serve as a major tertiary care destination for Odisha and neighbouring regions, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the state for complex medical care.
This collaboration marks the first major presence for Fortis Healthcare in Odisha. The partnership is part of Fortis Healthcare's broader strategy to expand access to quality healthcare through brownfield expansion, inorganic growth initiatives, and asset-light growth models. Dion Group is an Odisha-based conglomerate with over 40 years in infrastructure development with a presence across infrastructure, real estate, and automobile businesses.
Dr. Ashutosh Raghuvanshi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fortis Healthcare, said the upcoming hospital will improve access to advanced tertiary care services for patients across Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and neighbouring regions. He described the collaboration as an important milestone for Fortis Healthcare.
The announcement was made on July 3, 2026. Fortis Healthcare operates 36 healthcare facilities across 12 states and union territories with over 6,000 operational beds and 400 diagnostics labs. Fortis Healthcare is part of IHH Healthcare, a multinational healthcare provider operating across 10 countries.
