Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited has announced the launch of Methylene Blue Injection USP 50 mg/10 mL (5 mg/mL) single-dose vials in the United States through its US subsidiary Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc. USA, based in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. The announcement was made on June 17, 2026.
Glenmark's Methylene Blue Injection USP is bioequivalent and therapeutically equivalent to the reference listed drug ProvayBlue Injection of Provepharm SAS, approved under NDA 204630. The product is approved only for the indications listed in Glenmark's approved label from the US Food and Drug Administration.
IQVIA sales data for the 12-month period ending April 2026 reported the ProvayBlue Injection market achieved annual sales of approximately USD 19 million. This figure includes brand sales and all available therapeutic equivalents. IQVIA National Sales Perspectives data covering retail and non-retail channels provided the market estimate.
