Graphite India Limited announced audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the year ended March 31, 2026. The board of directors recommended a dividend of Rs 7 per equity share of face value Rs 2 each.
Standalone revenue from operations for the year stood at Rs 2,812 crore, with total income at Rs 2,979 crore. Total expenses for the year were Rs 2,528 crore, resulting in a profit of Rs 451 crore before exceptional items and tax. In the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026, standalone revenue was Rs 816 crore, compared with Rs 645 crore in the same quarter of the previous year and Rs 643 crore in the preceding December quarter. Total expenses for the quarter were Rs 954 crore, compared with Rs 618 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.
Graphite India recorded a standalone loss of Rs 103 crore before exceptional items and tax in the January-March 2026 quarter. After an exceptional item of Rs 16 crore, the loss before tax stood at Rs 87 crore, against a profit before tax of Rs 81 crore in the same period last year. The standalone net loss for the quarter was Rs 73 crore. Basic loss per share was Rs 3.71, compared with earnings per share of Rs 3.18 in the year-ago quarter.
The board approved the re-appointment of Mrs. Sudha Krishnan as a non-executive independent director for a second consecutive term of five years from December 1, 2026 to November 30, 2031. The re-appointment is subject to shareholder approval.
The recommended dividend of Rs 7 per share on 195,375,594 equity shares requires approval by shareholders at the 51st annual general meeting. Dividend payment will be made within 15 days from the date of the AGM.
