Gravita India Limited has received the London Metal Exchange (LME) Brand Listing Certificate for lead metal produced at its Alloying and Refining Division in Mundra, Gujarat. The product will be listed under the brand name "GRAVITA M." Gravita informed the BSE and NSE of this development on June 17, 2026.
The LME brand registration is a globally recognised quality benchmark in the metals industry. LME-listed brands are accepted and traded across international markets. Gravita joins a select group of Indian secondary lead smelters whose products are approved by the LME.
With the registration of "GRAVITA M," Gravita's lead metal is now eligible for delivery at all LME-approved warehouses worldwide. Gravita's lead was already deliverable on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) in India. The LME listing enables international buyers and traders to source Gravita's lead through the global exchange network. This milestone opens up new opportunities for international business expansion beyond the domestic market.
Gravita's manufacturing facilities at Chittoor, Mundra, and Phagi are already empaneled with MCX. The Mundra facility houses the Alloying and Refining Division that received the latest accreditation. Gravita's operations across these locations serve both domestic and international markets.
Gravita India is a globally recognised recycling enterprise engaged in the recycling and manufacturing of lead, aluminium, plastics, lithium, rubber, and copper across multiple geographies. Gravita India focuses on sustainability, innovation, and value creation throughout the recycling value chain while contributing to the circular economy. Gravita's recycling operations span multiple countries.
The LME accreditation for the Mundra plant adds to Gravita India's credentials in the global metals market and positions Gravita for expanded international trade in lead.
