HCL Technologies Limited, through its CSR arm HCLFoundation, has partnered with Pearson to launch a Discovery Science Center in Bengaluru. The center is a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics lab designed to give underserved students hands-on access to science and technology learning experiences. The center will focus on fostering curiosity, problem-solving abilities and early innovation skills among students.
The Discovery Science Center will provide underserved students with opportunities to build critical thinking, creativity and innovation skills through immersive, application-based learning. Year-round interventions such as STEM clubs, competitions and workshops will support the learning experience. The initiative is expected to reach over 1,500 students annually.
The launch expands the strategic partnership between HCLTech and Pearson focused on building skills through AI-powered technology. It builds on a similar center in Noida that has already brought hands-on STEM learning to underserved students.
Earlier this year, HCLFoundation and Pearson partnered to support 400 students in underserved communities by providing smart classrooms equipped with smart boards and laptops. Tailored assistive devices were provided to children with special needs, including those with visual impairments, to support inclusive learning. The initiative created a community-centric learning ecosystem combining corporate expertise with on-ground impact.
HCLFoundation delivers the CSR agenda of HCLTech in India with programs focused on education, sports, health and sanitation, skill development and livelihood, environment and disaster risk reduction. The foundation has positively impacted over 7.5 million lives. HCLTech is a global technology company with over 227,000 employees across 60 countries and consolidated revenues of $14.7 billion for the 12 months ending March 2026.
