The partnership scaled to include 100 percent of coding volume across Axia\u2019s multi-site network, significantly improving administrative efficiency and patient care delivery. The financial results demonstrate the substantial value of this outsourced coding partnership for a major women\u2019s healthcare provider serving over 450 clinicians across multiple states.
Axia Women\u2019s Health achieved 36 percent reduction in total denial rate to 5.5 percent and 37 percent reduction in coding-specific denials to 2.4 percent under the IKS Health arrangement. The coding accuracy improved to above 96 percent, while charges and CPTs per visit increased by 10 percent due to identification of potentially missed billable services. Monthly collections rose by $1.6 million to $14.3 million, with accounts receivable status improving from 40 days to 38.7 days.
The partnership expansion brought IKS Health\u2019s coding volume coverage to 100 percent of Axia\u2019s sites, up from 60 percent previously, giving clinicians and care teams more time to spend with patients and less time on administrative tasks. The coding teams worked as an extension of Axia\u2019s clinical and billing teams, validating clinician-entered CPT codes against supporting documentation to ensure claims accurately reflected the level of care delivered.
