InterGlobe Aviation Limited reported a net loss of Rs 239.36 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, impacted by sharp rupee depreciation and changes in labour laws. Excluding foreign exchange impact and exceptional items, the airline posted a profit of Rs 750.25 crore.
Total income for FY26 grew 6.4% year-on-year to Rs 8,951.34 crore. Revenue from operations increased 5.1% to Rs 8,496.19 crore. Capacity expanded 9.5% to 172.4 billion available seat kilometres, with 123.4 million passengers carried during the year.
For the fourth quarter ended March 2026, IndiGo reported a net loss of Rs 253.69 crore, compared to a profit of Rs 3,067.5 crore in the same period last year. Q4 revenue from operations rose 1.3% to Rs 2,243.84 crore. Quarterly capacity increased 3.4% to 43.6 billion ASKs, while passenger numbers declined marginally to 31.6 million.
IndiGo's cash position stood at Rs 5,165.06 crore as of March 31, 2026, comprising free cash of Rs 3,621.63 crore and restricted cash of Rs 1,543.43 crore. Total debt including capitalized operating lease liability was Rs 7,774.92 crore. The fleet comprised 441 aircraft as of the quarter end.
The board approved partial prepayment of finance lease obligations to subsidiary InterGlobe Aviation Financial Services IFSC Private Limited for up to USD 450 million. The funds will be used for acquisition of aviation assets including aircraft, engines and parts. The board also convened the 23rd annual general meeting for August 20, 2026.
Q1 FY27 capacity in terms of ASKs is expected to grow 3-4% compared to the first quarter of fiscal year 2026. The company operated 2,241 daily flights at peak during Q4, serving 97 domestic and 45 international destinations.
