The Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited submitted a disclosure to the BSE and the NSE under Regulation 31(4) of the SEBI Takeover Regulations for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The regulation requires promoters to report annual shareholding status and encumbrance details to stock exchanges.

The Government of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the promoter and majority shareholder of Jammu & Kashmir Bank, confirmed that it did not create any encumbrance on its holdings during the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh, also a promoter shareholder, issued a matching confirmation for its stake in the bank.

Both promoter entities stated in separate letters that no shares of the bank were encumbered or pledged by them during the financial year. The confirmations further stated that as on March 31, 2026, none of the promoter-held shares stood pledged. The annual filing confirms that no encumbrance existed on the promoter holdings during the period.

The disclosure was signed by Company Secretary Mohammad Shafi Mir on behalf of Jammu & Kashmir Bank. The promoter confirmations were issued by the Finance Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and the Finance Department of the Administration of Ladakh. The letters were dated April 8, 2026, and April 9, 2026, respectively.

Jammu & Kashmir Bank is headquartered in Srinagar and is listed on the BSE and the NSE under the symbol J&KBANK. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir is the majority shareholder of the bank.
