JBM Auto Limited subsidiary JBM Electric Vehicles launched the next generation GALAXY electric luxury coach at Prawaas 5.0 in Gandhinagar on July 9, 2026. Union Minister of Transport & Highways Nitin Gadkari unveiled the vehicle alongside JBM Electric Vehicles Chairman Nishant Arya.
The GALAXY comes in three variants: seater, sleeper, and sleeper & seater configurations. One layout features 22 Maharaja reclining seats and 20 sleeper berths with an onboard washroom, while another offers 24 seats and 20 berths without washroom. Both configurations deliver the highest seating capacity and luggage space in the segment.
JBM GALAXY incorporates ADAS-enabled architecture, EBS and ABS, hill-hold, and live surveillance cameras. The coach includes kneeling and height adjustment for boarding, electronically controlled air suspension, high-efficiency modular battery packs, and fast charging with regenerative braking. Panoramic windows, USB charging sockets, and individual AC louvers come standard.
The GALAXY platform has demonstrated operations exceeding 900 kilometres per day. JBM EV holds the highest market share in the Indian electric luxury coach segment and has deployed over 3,300 electric buses across 17 states and 12 airports. The company maintains an order book of 10,000 plus electric buses.
