JSW Energy Limited has commissioned the full 150 MW capacity of Tidong Power Generation Private Limited, a run-of-river hydro-electric power plant in the Tidong Valley in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The project was completed ahead of the previously guided timeline of October 2026.

Tidong Power, a wholly owned subsidiary through JSW Neo Energy Limited, is JSW Energy's fourth hydro asset in Himachal Pradesh. The plant has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd for 75 MW of power during May to October at a tariff of Rs 5.57/KWh.

JSW Energy's total installed capacity added in Q1 FY27 stands at approximately 445 MW, comprising 225 MW of wind, 70 MW of solar, and 150 MW of hydro. This takes the company's total installed capacity to approximately 13,900 MW.

The Tidong plant is expected to be earnings-accretive in FY27, supported by its remunerative tariff and ability to capitalise on the ongoing hydro season. Its proximity to the Karcham Wangtoo plant is expected to enable operational synergies.

JSW Energy has total locked-in generation capacity of 32.1 GW, including 13.9 GW operational and 13.6 GW under construction across thermal, hydro, and renewable segments. The company also has 29.6 GWh of locked-in energy storage capacity through hydro pumped storage and battery systems.

The company aims to reach 30 GW of generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by 2030, with a target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
