Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited (KOEL) has secured an order from HyperNext for 96 units of its 2500 kVA Optiprime Dual Core power systems, aggregating 192 MW, for hyperscale data center infrastructure. The deployment is among the largest high-capacity power system orders for hyperscale data centers in India.

The systems will support HyperNext's digital infrastructure for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and enterprise workloads. HyperNext is developing India's first data center with an 800VDC power architecture.

The Optiprime platform integrates multiple high-performance cores into a single system with Uptime certified DCCP capabilities for mission-critical environments. The platform is designed to optimize footprint utilization while ensuring uninterrupted power availability.

Madan Patil, President-Global Powergen Business at Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited, said the order represents growing trust from digital infrastructure leaders in KOEL's engineering capabilities and its ability to deliver power solutions at scale. He said accelerating AI and cloud adoption globally creates demand for backup power systems that support increasing energy requirements.

Harsh Macwann, Group CEO of HyperNext, said reliability and performance remain central to HyperNext's design philosophy. He said the Optiprime solution offers the scale and engineering sophistication required for mission-critical environments.

Kirloskar Oil Engines Limited manufactures engines and power systems from 1 kW to 10 MW for infrastructure, data centers, real estate, defense, marine, and railways. KOEL has a distribution network across India, the Middle East, Africa, and the Americas, with a manufacturing legacy spanning over 75 years.
