KNR Constructions standalone net profit drops 84% in FY26

KNR Constructions Limited reported a standalone net profit of Rs 116.06 crore for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, down 84% from Rs 725.68 crore in the previous year. Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs 2,096.72 crore from Rs 3,358.65 crore. Total expenses dropped to Rs 1,991.01 crore from Rs 2,835.94 crore. Earnings per share stood at Rs 4.13 against Rs 25.80 in the prior year.

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, standalone net profit stood at Rs 19.23 crore on revenue from operations of Rs 535.33 crore. KNR Constructions had reported a net profit of Rs 75.20 crore on revenue of Rs 851.19 crore in the same quarter last year. Other income for the quarter came in at Rs 28.95 crore.

The board recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.25 per equity share of face value Rs 2 each for the financial year 2025-26. The dividend proposal is subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing annual general meeting. The record date for the dividend will be announced in due course.

Trade receivables include Rs 1,363.32 crore pertaining to the Kaleswaram Package 4 irrigation project in Telangana, where collections have been stalled since March 2023. KNR Constructions has made a provision of Rs 27.92 crore towards expected credit loss on this project. KNR Constructions continues to execute the project to comply with contractual terms.

During the March quarter, KNR Constructions recognised claims of Rs 162.97 crore from clients on settlement. Based on revised cost estimates on certain projects, KNR Constructions provided Rs 135.52 crore. The board meeting held on May 29, 2026 approved the audited financial results and the dividend recommendation.
