Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, L&T GeoStructure, has secured multiple “significant” orders in India across steel, inland waterways and maritime infrastructure projects.

The company said the orders include its largest-ever piling order from JSW Utkal Steel Ltd, a subsidiary of JSW Steel, for the 10 MTPA Integrated Steel Plant at Paradeep, Odisha.

According to the company, the project spans nine major packages and involves critical structures such as the Blast Furnace, Hot Strip Mill and Steel Melting Shop. The piling works involve nearly 30 lakh running metres and are expected to be executed within a stringent timeline.

Apart from the JSW Steel order, L&T GeoStructure has also secured two separate contracts from the Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) for the engineering, procurement and construction of Ship Repair Facilities (SRF) at Patna and Varanasi.

The company said the facilities in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will feature advanced ship lift and transfer systems, including an 800-tonne boat hoist, to support inland vessel repair and maintenance activities along National Waterway-1 on the River Ganga.

L&T further said it has won an order for the construction of India’s first yacht marina at Mumbai Harbour from the Mumbai Port Authority. The project will include an approach trestle, piled breakwater, service platforms, concrete pontoons and gangways aimed at enabling safe yacht operations.

The company added that the marina project is expected to position Mumbai as a global maritime tourism hub while supporting India’s broader blue economy ambitions.

As per L&T’s order classification, “significant” orders are valued in the range of ₹1,000 crore to ₹2,500 crore.
