Mahindra & Mahindra Limited reported total sales of 97,653 units in May 2026, a 19.1% increase from 81,961 units in the same month last year. Total production for the month stood at 101,141 units, compared with 91,502 units in May 2025.
Utility vehicle sales, including figures from subsidiary Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited, rose to 70,557 units in May 2026 from 59,066 units in the corresponding month last year. The Scorpio remained the top-selling model with 15,367 units, up 13.6% from 13,529 units a year ago.
The Bolero recorded sales of 8,933 units, broadly in line with 8,942 units in May 2025. The Thar and Thar Roxx combined sold 10,787 units against 10,389 units last year. Electric SUV sales, under the Electric Origin SUV category, rose to 6,343 units from 4,021 units.
Mahindra launched the XUV7XO during the period, which recorded combined sales of 9,337 units in May 2026. The XUV700 posted sales of one unit compared with 6,435 units a year earlier.
Commercial vehicle and electric three-wheeler sales, reported through subsidiaries Mahindra Last Mile Mobility Limited and SML Mahindra Limited, rose to 27,096 units from 22,895 units in May 2025. Total exports increased to 5,112 units from 3,692 units, a 38.5% rise.
