Newgen Software Technologies Limited's board approved several leadership changes at a meeting held on July 2, 2026. The board appointed Tarun Nandwani as Chief Executive Officer and Key Managerial Personnel for 18 months, effective August 1, 2026 through January 31, 2028. Nandwani has spent 33 years at Newgen and currently serves as its Chief Operating Officer.
The appointment follows the resignation of Virender Jeet as CEO, effective from the close of business hours on August 31, 2026. Jeet's resignation was intimated to the exchanges on June 9, 2026 and noted by the board on June 12, 2026. Nandwani's appointment was based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
The board also appointed Pramod Kumar as Chief Growth Officer and Key Managerial Personnel, effective August 1, 2026. Kumar, currently Vice President - Sales with Newgen's Singapore subsidiary, previously led Newgen's APAC business. Under his leadership, regional revenues grew from approximately Rs 73 crore to Rs 237 crore over five years, and Newgen acquired 75 client logos in the region.
The board designated T.S. Varadarajan, Whole-time Director and co-founder of Newgen, as Vice Chairman with immediate effect. Varadarajan will continue to serve as Whole-time Director alongside the new designation. He co-founded Newgen in 1992 and has 51 years of experience in software design and development.
The meeting commenced at 1:30 PM and concluded at 1:48 PM. These changes are part of a leadership transition at Newgen following the earlier announcement of Jeet's departure.
