NMDC Steel Board Approves Audited Financial Results for March 2026

NMDC Steel Limited's board of directors approved the audited standalone financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026, at a meeting on May 29, 2026. The board meeting commenced at 5:40 PM IST and concluded at 6:30 PM IST.

The results were submitted to BSE and NSE and are available on NMDC Steel's website. NMDC Steel confirmed compliance with Regulation 33 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The filing serves as the Integrated Filing for the period under the SEBI Master Circular dated January 30, 2026.

NMDC Steel repaid its non-convertible debentures of Rs 523.80 crore along with accrued interest of Rs 42.98 crore in August 2025. The debentures, originally issued in August 2020, carried an interest rate that was revised from 7.30 percent to 9.05 percent following rating downgrades.

The outstanding rupee term loan from State Bank of India stood at Rs 3,401.14 crore as of December 31, 2025, after repayment of Rs 1,074.67 crore. The loan, sanctioned at Rs 4,476.20 crore, is repayable in 30 structured quarterly instalments ending June 2031. SBI has sanctioned a working capital limit of Rs 4,100 crore, with fund-based utilisation of Rs 1,391.72 crore as of December 31, 2025.

The Government of India is proceeding with the strategic disinvestment of NMDC Steel under a CCEA-approved plan to divest a 50.79 percent stake along with management control to a strategic buyer. The Government will offer an additional 10 percent stake to NMDC Limited after the strategic buyer is identified through the bidding process.
