NTPC Green Energy Limited has declared commercial operation of 50 MW solar capacity effective 00:00 hours of 14 June 2026. This is the third part capacity addition under the 300 MW solar component of a 200 MW RE Round The Clock (RTC) project located in Rajasthan. The cumulative solar capacity commissioned from this component has now reached 250 MW.
Project Sixteen Renewable Power Private Limited, a step-down subsidiary of ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited, operates this newly declared capacity. ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited is a joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited for renewable energy development.
NTPC Green Energy Limited Group's current commercial capacity stands at 10,621.40 MW. Following this 50 MW addition, the total installed capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited Group will increase to 10,671.40 MW.
NTPC Green Energy Limited informed both the National Stock Exchange and BSE Limited of this development through a regulatory filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015. The NTPC Green Energy Limited scrip is listed on NSE with the symbol NTPCGREEN and on BSE with scrip code 544289.
The RE Round The Clock project combines multiple renewable energy sources to ensure continuous power supply. NTPC Green Energy Limited serves as the renewable energy arm of NTPC Limited, developing and operating solar and wind energy projects across India.
