PCBL Chemical Limited has commissioned a new specialty production line with a gross capacity of 20,000 MTPA at its Mundra plant in Gujarat. PCBL disclosed the development to the stock exchanges in a filing under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations on June 11, 2026.

The new line targets high-growth application segments including high-speed printing, digital printing, and ultraviolet printing. The addition expands PCBL Chemical's specialty product portfolio and improves its ability to serve customer requirements in advanced printing solutions.

Post this expansion, the company's total specialty production capacity stands at 132 KT per annum. PCBL Chemical's existing specialty capacity was 112 KTPA, with capacity utilization at approximately 95 percent before this addition. The new capacity represents a near 18 percent increase in the company's specialty production base.

The rationale for the capacity addition is to meet market needs while moving up the value chain. The line has been commissioned successfully and is expected to ramp up progressively over the coming months.

PCBL Chemical stated that the expansion supports its focus on increasing the share of value-added products and improving margin profile. The specialty line caters to segments that offer higher-value applications compared to standard carbon black grades. The Mundra facility is one of the company's key manufacturing locations.
