Petronet LNG Limited will pay a final dividend of Rs 3 per equity share for the financial year 2025-26, subject to shareholder approval at the 28th annual general meeting.
The board of directors recommended the dividend at its meeting on May 4, 2026. The dividend is on equity shares of face value Rs 10 each.
Petronet LNG fixed June 12, 2026 as the record date for determining shareholder eligibility. Petronet LNG will pay the dividend within 30 days from the date of shareholder approval at the annual general meeting.
Petronet LNG informed stock exchanges about the tax deduction at source framework applicable to the dividend payout. Petronet LNG communicated these details to shareholders under Regulation 30 of SEBI listing regulations. Petronet LNG will deduct TDS under the Income Tax Act, 2025 at rates based on residential status.
Resident shareholders are subject to TDS at 10 percent on the dividend amount. Individual shareholders with aggregate dividends up to Rs 10,000 in a single folio during tax year 2026-2027 are exempt from TDS. Shareholders can submit Form 121 to claim nil deduction where eligible. Valid PAN linked with Aadhaar is mandatory to avoid a higher deduction rate of 20 percent. Insurance companies, mutual funds, and alternative investment funds registered in India are exempt from TDS upon submitting relevant declarations.
Non-resident shareholders are subject to TDS at 20 percent plus applicable surcharge and cess. Eligible non-resident shareholders can seek a lower rate under a Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement by submitting a tax residency certificate and Form 41. Petronet LNG will apply treaty rates only upon satisfactory document review. All required documents must be submitted by July 10, 2026.
