Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) announced that its board approved upgradation of SCADA and Associated Systems of NTAMC/RTAMC at an estimated cost of Rs 485.04 crore. The investment targets upgrading the power transmission utility's supervisory control and data acquisition infrastructure across national and regional transmission control centres. The project is part of POWERGRID's ongoing system modernisation programme.
The board authorised availing an unsecured term loan facility in Japanese Yen (JPY) 80 billion from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and participating financial institutions. This borrowing will support POWERGRID's capital expenditure programme.
The board appointed Smt. Anjana Luthra, General Manager (Company Secretariat), as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer with immediate effect from June 10, 2026. She is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and holds a B.Com (Hons) degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Delhi. She has over 25 years of experience across corporate secretarial, legal, finance, and compliance functions. She previously served as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of POWERGRID Infrastructure Investment Trust.
Shri Venkata S V, Chief General Manager (F&A), was appointed as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective July 1, 2026. He is a qualified Cost Accountant with over 35 years of post-qualification experience, including more than 32 years at POWERGRID across regional headquarters and the corporate centre. He has served as Head of Finance for the Telecom Department and Southern Region-I. His expertise spans resource mobilisation, financial concurrence, enterprise resource planning, financial accounting, and internal audit.
