Premier Energies Limited, an integrated solar manufacturer, has been recognised as a Grade A manufacturer in Wood Mackenzie's Global Solar PV Module Manufacturer Ranking 2026. The company was ranked among the Top 25 Global and Top 3 Indian Grade A Solar PV Module Manufacturers in the annual evaluation.
Wood Mackenzie evaluated 48 module manufacturers across 10 countries that together represent 65% of global production capacity and 83% of global module shipments. The assessment criteria included capacity utilisation, technology maturity, financial strength, supply chain resilience, ESG performance, product reliability, and research and development capabilities.
The Grade A classification serves as an independent benchmark for developers, procurement teams, and asset owners seeking dependable solar module suppliers.
Premier Energies operates 11.1 GW of annual solar PV module manufacturing capacity and plans to expand its annual solar cell manufacturing capacity to 10.6 GW later this year. The company is executing a Rs 12,500 crore capital expenditure programme focused on strengthening upstream solar manufacturing capabilities and diversifying into inverters, batteries, and transformers.
Mr. Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, said the Grade A classification validates the company's manufacturing excellence and technological leadership. Global customers increasingly assess suppliers on quality, scale, financial strength, ESG performance, and supply chain resilience when selecting module partners, he noted.
The recognition comes as India's solar manufacturing sector expands its global footprint. Premier Energies, with over three decades of industry experience, is a publicly listed integrated solar module manufacturer.
