Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited is implementing a voluntary recall as a precautionary measure for select batches of Semalix injection disposable pens following a product recall notification from manufacturer Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. Hyderabad on July 9, 2026.
The affected products are select batches of Semalix Injection in 2 mg and 4 mg strengths manufactured by Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. initiated due to a technical evaluation conducted by the manufacturer.
Patient safety remains the top priority for Torrent, and the company confirms there is no risk to patients already on this treatment because of this voluntary recall of the affected batches.
All other Semaglutide SKUs sold by Torrent Pharmaceuticals Limited remain completely unaffected, including the Semalix tablet formulations in 3 mg, 7 mg and 14 mg strengths manufactured by the company, and Sembolic tablet formulations in 3 mg, 7 mg and 14 mg strengths.
The unaffected range also covers Semalix injection 8 mg manufactured by MSN Laboratories and Sembolic re-usable injection manufactured by Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. representing the full scope of Torrent's semaglutide product portfolio.
