Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited (TTML) has informed the stock exchanges that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has levied a financial disincentive of Rs 0.02 crore for alleged contravention of Quality of Service (QoS) parameters for its broadband (wireline) service. The order dated June 8, 2026, was received by TTML at 3:51 pm on the same day.
TRAI cited alleged non-compliance with the QoS benchmarks specified under the Standards of Quality of Service of Access (Wireline and Wireless) and Broadband (Wireline and Wireless) Service Regulations, 2024, for the quarter ending June 2025. The regulator identified two specific parameters for broadband wireline service where TTML allegedly failed to meet the prescribed benchmarks.
The fault incidences parameter requires that the number of faults per 100 subscribers does not exceed five. TRAI alleged that TTML was not compliant with this threshold. The fault repair parameter mandates that at least 99% of faults must be rectified within three working days. TRAI alleged that TTML's performance on this parameter also fell short of the required standard.
The financial disincentive of Rs 0.02 crore was imposed under the TRAI regulations for the alleged violations pertaining to broadband service. TTML stated that it is reviewing the order and evaluating the next steps in this matter. TTML noted that the financial impact is quantifiable to the extent of the penalty demanded by the regulator.
The disclosure was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations. TTML submitted the information to both BSE and NSE. The filing was signed by Shinu Mathai, Chief Financial Officer of Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited.
