Bata India board recommends Rs 9 per share dividend for FY26

Bata India Limited said its board recommended a dividend of Rs 9 per equity share for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.

The payout represents 180 percent on the face value of Rs 5 per share. The record date for determining eligible shareholders has been fixed as July 31, 2026. The dividend, if declared at the AGM scheduled for August 12, 2026, will be paid from August 27, 2026.

Bata India reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 3,515.48 crore for the full year, against Rs 3,488.03 crore in the previous fiscal. Total income for the year stood at Rs 3,594.04 crore, compared with Rs 3,555.03 crore. Total expenses for the year were Rs 3,363.84 crore, up from Rs 3,254.43 crore a year ago.

Standalone net profit for the year ended March 31, 2026 fell to Rs 133.56 crore from Rs 328.45 crore in FY25. Exceptional items during the year included voluntary retirement scheme expenses of Rs 42.37 crore and a provision of Rs 6.67 crore related to labour code changes.

Earnings per share for FY26 stood at Rs 10.39, compared with Rs 25.55 in the preceding year. In the March quarter, standalone revenue from operations was Rs 827.64 crore, against Rs 787.77 crore a year earlier. Net profit for the quarter was Rs 2.07 crore, down from Rs 43.55 crore in the year-ago period.

The board approved the audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026 at its meeting held on May 27, 2026.
