Zen Technologies Limited has launched the Integrated Smart Border Suite (ISBS), described as India's first next-generation border security ecosystem designed to support the nation's Smart Border vision.
The announcement follows Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement that India would implement a nationwide Smart Border project covering nearly 6,000 km of border with Pakistan and Bangladesh, deploying drones, radars and smart surveillance systems. The ISBS addresses threats including illegal infiltration, narco-terrorism, drone-based smuggling and hybrid warfare tactics.
The suite includes AI-powered anti-drone systems delivering both soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities against hostile drone threats, available in vehicle-mounted, man-portable and fixed configurations. Smart loitering munition provides AI-enabled surveillance, target acquisition and precision strike operations. Interceptor drones are designed to detect, pursue and neutralise hostile drones before they reach protected assets. Unmanned ground vehicles handle reconnaissance, surveillance, logistics support and tactical operations. Remote controlled weapon stations integrate electro-optical sensors, thermal imaging and fire-control systems. Long-range electro-optical and thermal surveillance systems enable round-the-clock monitoring across difficult terrain.
Ashok Atluri, Chairman and Managing Director of Zen Technologies, said India's border security is transitioning from static, manpower-intensive deployments to intelligent, autonomous systems capable of responding to dynamic and asymmetric threats. He said the ISBS is an indigenous AI-enabled ecosystem that integrates anti-drone systems, autonomous surveillance, precision-response platforms and real-time situational awareness into a unified operational grid.
Zen Technologies stated the Smart Border Suite is designed to function as a 24x7 intelligent digital shield, enabling faster detection, tracking and neutralisation of hostile activity across difficult terrain and high-risk sectors.
